HTC Flyer is the company’s first tablet device. The HTC Flyer was announced at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2011 in Barcelona. Most of the Android powered tablets launched in 2011, runs on the Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) Operating System, which is specially designed for tablet devices. But, the HTC Flyer runs on the old Android 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) OS.
To solve this problem, HTC earlier said that, the HTC Flyer will get the Android 3.0 Honeycomb update, shortly after launch. We have a good news for the folks, eagerly waiting to get the HTC Flyer in India. Flipkart, a popular online retailer in India, is currently taking pre-orders for the HTC Flyer in India. This device is expected to be available during the end of June.

HTC Flyer features a 7 inch touch-sensitive TFT screen with 1024 x 600 pixels resolution, 1.5 GHz Processor, Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread OS (upgradable to Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS), HTC Sense UI, Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3G Connectivity, 5 megapixel colour camera with auto focus, 1.3 megapixel front camera, 3.5 mm stereo audio jack, Micro-USB, 32 GB internal memory, GPS, up to 820 hours stand-by time, up to 4 hours vieo playback and a 4000 mAh battery.
Sadly, the HTC Flyer will not come with the stylus. To take advantage of the HTC Scribe technology, you will need to purchase the stylus separately. The price of the stylus in India is still unknown.
