The HP Topaz, the first webOS tablet by HP was leaked a few weeks back. The Topaz will likely be launched at HP’s press event on February 9, along with the Opal.
Today, Precentral has revealed some detailed specifications of the HP Topaz.
The HP Topaz will be powered by the Qualcomm MSM8660 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz. It also has a Adreno 220 GPU and comes with 512 MB DDR2 RAM. It will have a 9.7 inch XGA display with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels.
It will also have Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and a front facing camera for video calls. The initial version will offer only Wi-Fi, but 3G and 4G versions should also launch soon. It also has a built in accelerometer, compass, gyrometer and a light sensor. It will have two integrated speakers and will come with two 3150 mAh batteries. It’s quite light, at just 700 gms.
It will support Touchstone charging as well as wireless audio streaming via Bluetooth, wireless picture sharing, website sharing, printing, music sharing etc. For more details, including pricing and launch dates, we will have to wait for the February 9 event.
