Fujitsu is not popular for manufacturing tablet devices. However, the company just announced a new multimedia tablet, the Fujitsu Stylistic M532 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2012 in Barcelona. It comes with a large 10.1 inch display as well as a 1.4 GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor. Android fans won’t be disappointed, since the powerful Fujitsu Stylistic M532 tablet runs on the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) Operating System. This tablet is specially designed for business professionals. It comes with pre-installed, licensed, and ready–to-use business software apps including Office suite, file viewer, and file editor.
Craig Parker, Head of Product Marketing, Fujitsu Technology Product Group, said,
“Thanks to the Stylistic M532, ultra-mobile professional users no longer need to compromise on their choice of tablet device – or indeed carry separate devices for business and leisure. The Stylistic M532 is the first tablet to truly deliver hybrid tablet computing, where during the working day both device and business data are secured within corporate networks, while after hours multimedia content can be safely accessed.”
The Fujitsu Stylistic M532 features a 10.1 inch WXGA display, sporting a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixel, 1.4 GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor, Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS, 8 megapixel rear camera with autofocus and flash, 2 megapixel front-facing camera for video chat, Micro USB 2.0, Bluetooth 3.0, and more.
It also comes with a 3.5 mm headset jack, 1 GB RAM, memory card slot, built-in speakers, Docking connector for Port Replicator, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3G Connectivity, DLNA, GPS, Symantec Norton Tablet Security, 4 hours of charging time, up to 9.5 hours of video playback, and a 3.170 mAh Lithium polymer battery.
This device measures 262.6 x 175.4 x 8.6 mm and weighs 560 g. The Fujitsu Stylistic M532 tablet will be available in the UK from early summer. The price of this device will be announced shortly.
