Corsair today announced that it will stop selling DDR3 RAM’s equipped with Elpida Hyper’ memory chips as these chips tend to be unstable under certain conditions. Corsair also said that it will be recalling all the DDR3 RAM which were already sold to the end-user. The Elpida Memory Chips were usually used in high end Corsair Dominator GT and XMS3 DDR3 line up series. The affected products have the following part numbers – TW3X4G1600C6GTF, TR3X6G1866C7GTF, TR3X6G2000C8GTF, TR3X3G2000C7GTF and TR3X6G2000C7GTF.

The Elpida Hyper’ memory chips run at a speed of 1600Mhz, 1866Mhz and 2000Mhz at a rather low voltage of 1.2v-1.5v.
