Asus Rolls Out Another Software Update For Transformer Prime – Brings Face Unlock To The Tablet
By on June 14th, 2012

Asus has yet again started rolling out a new software update for its Transformer Prime tablet. The new update is a pretty minor one, and aims at fixing a few bugs along with adding the Face Unlock feature.

Below is the full change-l0g of the update -:

  • GPS dongle fix & local notification
  • Ethernet UI support to set Ethernet connect policy when screen off
  • Add system bar lock settings for showing/hiding system info
  • Enable Face Unlock feature
  • Support Bluetooth HDP
  • Third party app upgrade
  • Other bug fixes

The update is being rolled out in the form of a phased OTA update in certain regions of the world, so please be patient if you have not already received the update.

Ever since Asus launched the Transformer Prime late last year, the company has been working on supporting the tablet and releasing timely software update for it. In fact, the Asus Transformer Prime has now got more software updates than Motorola XOOM, which was Google’s base platform to release Android 3.0 Honeycomb, ever did. No wonder Google has teamed up with Asus to release its $199 Nexus tablet.
