It seems that Apple will be launching a 22iMac with touch screen sometime this year, a Chinese newspaper Commercial Times stated. Looks like the year 2010 will see the launch of many touchbased devices from Apple. Already rumors of Apple launching a touch-screen tablet based device at their upcoming event to be held on 26th Jan in San Francisco, is at its peak.
The Chinese newspaper also stated that Apple has outsourced the production of the 22iMac with touchscreen to a company called Quanta, while the touchscreen panel will be supplied by a Taiwan based company called Sintek Photronic. Currently the iMac line-up has 2 models – one with a 21.5screen and the other one with a 27screen. Nothing can be taken for granted right now, as Apple has not officially confirmed anything. In fact, Apple has not even confirmed the Apple event to be held on 26th January, but Fox Times confirmed it, earlier this month. These rumors have definitely been helping Apple a lot as the prices of its shares have been rising with each passing day.
It will be interesting to see whether these rumors around touchbased gadgets from Apple turn out to be true, or not.
