It has been reported that AMD is disappointed by the performance of its processors in the notebook segment. AMD is now looking for a change and is set to drop the “Better By Design” tagline from its processors and graphics card from September, with the launch of the Tigris Platform for Notebook based on 45nm Dual Core. AMD will instead reform its notebook line-up and call it as AMD ‘Vision’. AMD ‘Vision’ will divided into 3 categories, namely –AMD vision trade mark

1) AMD Vision

2) AMD Vision Premium

3) AMD Vision Ultimate

Each category consists of an AMD Turion Processor and an AMD/ATi GPU coupled together for the Ultimate performance. Only the top end laptops will be branded as AMD Vision Ultimate which will consist of either the HD4650 and/or HD4870 while the average performing laptop will be branded as AMD Vision Premium and the low-end laptops will be branded as the AMD Vision. The AMD Vision Category will consist of AMD Neo x2 processor along with the Integrated HD3200 IGP.
