Acer Iconia A200 Ice Cream Sandwich Update Rolling Out Now
By on February 13th, 2012

Apart from selling PCs and laptops, Acer also manufactures Android powered handsets and tablets. While its Android devices have not exactly managed to gain as much popularity as the company would have hoped for, Acer still continues to support them.

Now, it looks like Acer has started rolling out the Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Iconia A200 tablet. While the company has not officially confirmed the news, quite a few A200 owners are reporting that they have already got the Ice Cream Sandwich update on their tablet.

The Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Iconia A200 brings with it an improved performance, new widgets, enhanced UI and more.

This update makes the A200 the first tablet from Acer to get the Ice Cream Sandwich update. It also makes the A200 among the first few Android tablets from any manufacturer to get the ICS update. Kudos to Acer for beating Samsung to this!

Hopefully, Acer will also be updating its other Iconia tablets like the A100, A500 to Ice Cream Sandwich, sooner than later.
