Select and Copy Multiple Areas of Text in Firefox 3

Firefox 3 is really filled with rich features and we are learning about them everyday, here is a real quick post to an awesome new feature in Firefox 3 which you should not miss.
The trick is similar to selecting different files which are not stacked together in Windows explorer using the Ctrl button.
In Firefox 3 when you want to select multiple areas of text without having to repeatedly copy and paste, click on the Ctrl button and use your mouse to select multiple areas of text;
Once you have selected the text use the hotkey Ctrl+C or right click and select Copy to copy over your selected text from multiple areas to the clipboard.
Once you have copied the text you can use the hotkey Ctrl+V to paste the copied text in a text editor. When you paste from the clipboard only the text that you had selected will be copied, check screenshot below (Click to enlarge).

This is a great feature. I think initially it was available as an Add-on.
I must say Firefox have added great features for the third edition,also ff 3.1 beta is released..
I’m already want to migrate to FF3, but not supported plugins stop my wishes
@DeeMX the added advantage of FF3 is better speed and memory usage along with additional security, you should give it a try.
Thank you SO much for this tutorial; I would have never guessed something this neat was included in the latest release, and I haven’t seen it anywhere else yet. Since learning this, I tried something else that I wished FF had (that I missed from IE days way back when):
Placing the cursor at the beginning of some text to mark the beginning, then scroll down to where you wish to stop copying, then Shift+Click at the end of the paragraph, and all text and images in between will be highlighted. I hated having to scroll-highlight long pages using FF2 and earlier.
NOTE: I played around with the Ctrl+highlighting as you described; it appears it doesn’t work properly with Scrapbook, which only includes the first highlighted segment.
