WordPress 2.0 Now Available for iPhone and iPod Touch

In this generation of smartphones, blogging on the go is much more easier. The WordPress [1] app for iPhone is an example of how easy it has become to blog from a mobile device.
The WordPress team has announced that WordPress 2.0 for iPhone and iPod Touch [2] is now available for downloads [3] in the App Store. The app definitely makes it easy to create posts and manage your comments from the iPhone.

I tried the app on multiple blogs, but was hit with a weird communication error on one of them, even though I provided proper credentials. I am really not sure, whether this is a bug with the app itself or the blog.

The new app is packed with lots of features which include:
There is no upgrade available for the older version of WordPress for iPhone. You will have to download the new app and install it afresh. You can safely uninstall the old app once you install WordPress 2.0.
