Read it later is a very useful service which allows you to temporarily bookmark URLs which you want to read later. This service can come in pretty handy when you want to read some content but don’t have the time at present.

With the help of Read it later, you can temporarily bookmark the URL and read it at your own leisure later on. RIL provides users with several options to view their temp bookmarks and read them, including a Firefox add-on ^[1], an iPhone app and bookmarklets for other browsers.

If you are using Google Chrome ^[2], you can now add URLs directly to the Read it later service with the help of a Google Chrome Extension ^[3]. Once you have installed the add-on, you will be prompted to enter your RIL username and password. 

Once you have setup your credentials, the extension is dead simple to use, just click on the checkmark in the omnibar and the URL will automatically be added to your Read it later account. You can then visit your account at your own leisure to read the content.
