Handbrake 0.9.4 released With 64bit Support

Handbrake the multiplatform open source video transcoder for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux which was also mentioned in our 35+ Awesome and Free Software list, has just released version 0.9.4 after almost one year. The new version supports 64bit PCs and includes 1000s of bug fixes and enhancements.


The major change in the latest version includes a new build system which allows them to easily build 64bit versions of the software. They have also introduced a new soft subtitles system which can be turned on and off.

HandBrake 0.9.4 also includes a new feature called Live Preview which will allow you to encode smaller parts of the clips before you start the entire encoding. In addition to that, they also have better input support, for DVD and non-DVD sources alike and constant quality encoding.
