Gmail Gadget For Google Desktop

I have always been a big fan of Google Desktop [1] for quite some time and use it as my primary search tool for the desktop, the good thing about Google Desktop is that I can also use several useful Gadgets that allow me to monitor websites from the desktop [2], maintain a to-do list, track Google AdSense earnings [3] from the desktop and more.
Google Desktop also featured a handy gadget that would allow you to view the incoming emails in Microsoft Outlook [4] and your Gmail [5] account, however the gadget was pretty basic and you could not search emails or do other tasks with it.
The Gmail Gadget for Google Desktop allows users to browse email, compose emails and search for them without having to leave the desktop, definitely pretty useful for heavy Gmail users like me.
Gmail Gadget only works with Google Desktop 5 and above, you can download the latest version from here [6].
