Never really cared of Microsoft Word Alternative as we have Google Docs and I use Notepad when I don’t have Office installed in times.

yes you are correct may they are altenative but you cannot really use them intead of mic.word

OpenOffice is a personal favourite, with Writer being their alternative offering to Microsoft Word. It isn’t quite as pretty, but has the same functionality, and it is open source and free versus the very expensive offering that Office is.

i don’t use any of this tools but in my Linux ” UBUNTU ” they offer free office tools ” open source ” .

it is included with the version .

but i think Google Docs will be OK because Google offer a good service when it publish it .

Google Docs is easily the best. It is a great tool whilst on the move and out of the office!
