Kingsoft office suite 2012 shares a quite similar ribbon interface with that of microsoft office. It requires much smaller space and is compatible with ms office word, excel and powerpoint files.
A free edition is available, which includes writer, spreadsheet and presentation, which can be used to create DOC(X), PPT(X) and XLS(X) files respectively. The only shortcoming is that it doesn’t have outlook.

I find using Google Docs as the best suitable alternative of Microsoft Office. The best thing about Google Docs is that they are free unlike Microsoft.

My father wishes to buy himself a copy of the Microsoft Office, and MUST have Outlook. This calls for the Office and Small Bussiness version and a shot in the head. I tried sticking into his brain Open Office, I even installed it and patiently showed him how easy it is. He canâ€™t even get passed that Microsoft Excel = OpenOffice Calc, to him that was a huge boulder to dodge. If you guys think THAT is simple and easy now here comes the hardest part which is where he gave up on Open Office, he does not like the theme. He wants that ribbon theme from MS Office that has the Inser, Reviewâ€¦ tabs. He does not want to learn â€œnewâ€ interface as he uses it for work and having the MS Office 2010 interface at work and having to deal with Open Office at home, he isnâ€™t even used to the MS Office 2007 interface still struggling in it as he prefered the past MS Office 2003 interface.

Is there any free alternative to MS Office that has that similar interface to MS Office? I know NitroPDF has that interesting same interface but is for PDFs.

I have a Nokia E71 and recently bought Microsoft Office Home and Student, not realizing that it doesn't have Outlook.
Are there any decent free platforms with which I can synchronize my Nokia E71 as an alternative to Microsoft Outlook?

I love OpenOffice as a free alternative to Microsoft Office. As it supports most of the commonly used programs as an alternative, like Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Powerpoint etc.
