At times you may come across a text or a file, which is written in a language you do not understand and would require to convert it to a language you understand. In such cases online services come in pretty handy, however a desktop tool to translate languages would definitely come in handy.
Free Language Translator is a freeware desktop language translator application which makes use of Google translation service, it adds more features to the existing service and addresses some of its shortcomings.
Free Language Translator allows you to open text files or simply paste text into the editor and choose the language you want to translate from and the language you want to translate to.

Clicking on the translate button, will show you the translation you chose. However with Free Language Translator, you have the option to create your custom dictionary to correct the online translation and save them for further use when using the Translate and use Custom Dictionarymenu option.
In order to add an entry to your Custom Dictionary, select the text to be corrected, right click in the translation panel and select Add to Custom Dictionary. You will be able to make further changes manually by typing into the translation panel while tracking the synchronized original panel.
