SoftMaker Office 2008 is available for free download till the 31st of December. The download is being offered completely free for a noble cause. For every free download of the Office Suite, SoftMaker will donate  â‚¬ 0.10 to projects at betterplace.org. The office suite from SoftMaker offers:

• TextMaker 2008, a feature rich text editor,
• PlanMaker 2008, a spreadsheet manager,
• SoftMaker Presentations 2008, a presentation designer,
• BasicMaker 2008, a basic scripting language( for Windows only).

The file formats and documents created in this suite are fully compatible with Microsoft Office. The software is available for both Windows and Linux.
