whats the catch? or is there one? or are they just banking on having me start paying a year after signup?

wonder what the catch is. usually in life when something sounds to good to be true, it usually is :/
So, I did this and installed the anti virus.
The catch is that the program occassionally pops up with pseudo-advertisements telling me to upgrade my protection to protect against spam, etc. which aren’t covered with the basic antivirus.
However, you can dismiss these and tell them not to come up again.
Other than that, McAfee is probably one of the more system-hogging programs out there. It uses about 20-25 MB total. Norton was only using about 8MB.
