IE8 UK Commercial Ad Videos

Based on a EU judgment, Microsoft recently rolled out the browser ballot system in European countries, however, they are not the one’s to let up on the market share that easy, and have rolled out a series of new advertisements in the United Kingdom to keep users hooked on to Internet Explorer 8.

I did find some of the commercial videos on My Microsoft Life. These videos are only 8 seconds in length, so I was wondering what Microsoft was thinking about them.

I understand that it is a webmasters goal to load webpages in 8 seconds or less, but that is because they want users to start reading the content in that time, not understanding it. So Microsoft’s thinking in these 8 second ads goes beyond me, even though I understand that it is in theme with "Internet Explorer 8", I found the 30 second Google Super Bowl ad more interesting.

If you are not yet comfortable with jail breaking your iPhone OS Firmware 3.1.2, using Blackra1n, here is a video tutorial which I came across on Softpedia. The video tutorial details, on how you can jailbreak your iPhone 3G and 3GS phones, which are updated to Firmware 3.1 or 3.1.2.

The video tutorial details how you can jailbreak iPhone 3G/3GS with OS 3.1 and 3.1.2 using Blackra1n.

The instructions in the video are pretty simple to understand. You may want to watch the video a couple of times, before you can start jail breaking your iPhone.

Google Chrome OS Video [Fake]

Looks like someone had a lot of time on hand or really didn’t have anything else to do, so he/she came up with a video, uploaded it to YouTube and tweeted about it on twitter.

That was enough for many of the top blogs go bonkers over a very secretive Google Chrome OS video being leaked on the internet. If you haven’t watched the video yet we have it for you, the initial screens look a bit real, but you can spot the obvious towards the end.

Wow I could not imagine $300 million going to waste in such a way, this is the first Ad featuring Seinfield and Bill Gates. Seinfield has been paid a fee of $10 million to promote Microsoft and this ad was really over the top, over the top of the head I would say.
