The XBox ban is currently only for the consoles and not user accounts, so the users selling them can buy a new one and start using it with their old account.

If you are planning to buy the cheap banned consoles on eBay or Craigslist, please be aware that you will NOT be able to access XBox Live at all, so proceed with caution.

The card has two 40nm based Cypress cores and has double the Stream processors and ROPs of ATi HD5870. The GDDR5 memory chips however run at frequencies similar to that of ATi HD5850, in order to keep power consumption in control. The maximum power consumption of the card is around 295W, and only 42W at idle. The card also features the latest technologies featured in ATi HD5850 and HD5870, like eyeInfinity, Dx11 and many new ones like real time power monitoring, pure ceramic super capacitors etc.

Interested buyers can find the HD5970 immediately at sale with retailers for an MSRP of 599$. With Nvidia, unable to launch their Dx 11 based Fermi cards before Q1, 2010, ATi has been able to get the performance crown back from Nvidia for at least the next 6-7 months.

However, the Tablet PC Vega, is a full streaming media, touch screen device that runs the Android. The interesting thing is that it run’s the same latest version of Android, Android 2.0 “Eclair”, as the Motorola Droid.

However, the Vega runs the NVIDIA Tegra, Nvidia’s graphics-cum-applications processor for Mobile devices which supports 1080p Full HD, found in other high-definition devices like Microsoft’s ZuneHD.

The Vega will be available in three screen sizes :  7  inches, 11 inches and the 15th inch. Currently, ICD has released the 15 inch version. It contains an accelerometer and the 3G wireless as well as 802.11b/g WLAN modules. It has USB 2.0 ports and support for MicroSD and Bluetooth. With four hours of battery life, a 3.1 MP Camera and 512 MB RAM, this is full fledged Tabled PC.

With a device like the Vega, application like On-demand TV, Gaming, Voice and SMS as well as Social Media applications, Video chatting, Music, etc. will be an enhanced experience.

Frameworks like Android, Moblin and Maemo are lowering the barrier-to-entry for company’s like ICD. The only factor that may or may not determine the success of these devices is the price-point, which, for the Vega is still unknown.

One thing to be noted here is that the USB 3.0 controller used by Asus is not made by Intel, it is in fact, made by NEC. Intel announced few weeks ago that they won’t be integrating a USB 3.0 controller in their chipsets before next year.The Core i3 Processor line-up will feature a 45nm based integrated graphics in the same core as the processor and to take advantage of the integrated graphics, the motherboard must have support for Flexible Display Interface. Flexible Display Interface will allow the user to output graphics via the integrated graphics on the processor through HDMI, DVI or VGA port. The motherboard will also support Intel Clarkdale 32nm CPU’s when launched.

MenQ EasyPC 790 or the E790, is the latest offering from MenqGroup and is being touted as being the world’s cheapest laptop. At $89, their claim can hardly be challenged.

Running Samsung’s 400Mhz ARM9 processor and 128MB RAM, it is definitely capable of running Android. Currently it has Windows CE 5.0 installed, which does not seem like such a good move from MenQ especially since Windows CE 6.0 has had better reviews.

With 7 inches of screen size , 3 USB ports, a LAN interface and 802.11b/g supported Wireless LAN interface, this is a full fledged Netbook device.

If MenQ can manage to sell this device running a licensed version on Windows CE 5.0 for approximately $90 , can you imaging the cost if it were to run Android or Ubuntu or Moblin or any other open source distribution natively ?

The EX-FC150, apart from the befuddling name, is a pretty good point and shoot compact. It is a successor to the equally wickedly-named EX-FC100 and features a new backlit CMOS sensor with 10 million pixels. The EX-FC150 retains  the 5x optical zoom and sensor-shift image stabilization from its predecessor. With a 2.7 inch LCD screen, the camera will also sport 720p video recording at 30 frames a second.

On the other hand, the EX-FC150’s big brother EX-FH25 is a superzoom camera. (Do you notice the similarity of names of these brothers? I assume their whole family has such out of the world names.) With a similar backlit CMOS sensor, the EX-FH25 can zoom upto 20x at 10MP. Like its younger sibling, it can also shoot 720p HD video at 30fps and both cameras can shoot video at a mouth-staggering frame rate of 1000fps at a mouth-shut resolution of 224×34.

You can find both of these cameras in the stores on November 27. We can’t tell you about the prices though, because that’s supposed to be surprise. Oh, no wait. Even Google Translator didn’t know that, so how can we?

Tempo Tags are small chip sized clocks with a clip that you can tag onto your clothes, baggage or just keep in a pocket. These tiny clips are small, made of stainless steel and are powered by replaceable watch batteries.

Vessel Inc, the company that makes these, doesn’t want to sell you one of these, but rather they stress that you’ll need many.

It’s about time. When you’re no longer tied to your wrist watch, you’ll probably want a little glimpse of time everywhere else… one for your bag, one for your coat, one for your friend that’s always late.

For $18, you’ll get a pair of two Tempo Time Tags; one with a clip on the right and the other with a clip on the left. There’s also a similar Tempo Thermo Tag that tells the temperature, but it’s not available yet.

Nevertheless, get it if you want, it’s just a matter of time.

SandForce is a relatively new company in the SSD Controller market, but it already has more than twenty patents under its name and has many industry veterans working in it. SandForce has been preparing two new SSD controller’s  – SF-1200 and SF-1500. The former NAND controller is targeted at enthusiasts and supports SSDs of capacities of up to 512Gb. The controller also supports Multi Level Cell Flash chips and can provide a maximum sequential read/write speed of 260MB/sec via the SATA II interface. The SF-1500 is targeted at high-end enterprise and workstation class. The SF-1200 and SF-1500 are identical in performance and the maximum capacity they support, except that the SF-1500 also supports Single Level Cell Flash chips for a higher number of write and erase cycles.
