After the announcement of “Home” for Android, Facebook’s stock shot up by more than 3 percent, rising above $27 a share for the first time ever since mid-March.

Facebook has released its Q4 and full-year revenue for 2012 today, going beyond the predictions of analysts. The social media giant reported $1.585 billion in revenue for Q4, up by 40 percent year-over-year. Revenue from advertising was $1.33 billion (84% of total revenue), up by 41% year-over-year.

HTC released its unaudited Q4, 2012 financial results and things certainly look gloomy and dark for the Taiwanese OEM.

LinkedIn reported its earnings for Q3 2012, with revenue increasing to $252 million, up more than 80% year-over-year.

Yelp reported its earnings for Q3 2012, with net revenue increasing to $36.4 million, up around 63% year-over-year.

Sony has reported revenue of $20.57 billion in Q2, with an operating profit of $388 million, and a net loss of $198 million.

Asus just reported its earnings for Q3 2012, with profits up 43% year-over-year, and tablet sales almost 200% more than the last quarter.

Samsung reported a quarterly operating profit of $7.4 billion last quarter. Its smartphone shipments have been estimated to be around 57 million.

Amazon posted its earnings for Q3 2012, with net sales increasing to $13.806 billion, but net losses increasing to $274 million.

Sprint reported net operating revenues of $8.763 billion, up around 5% year-over-year. However, its losses increased to $767 million, more than doubling year-over-year.

Zynga just announced its earnings for Q3 2012, with revenue of $317 million, up 3% year-over-year, and a net loss of $53 million.

Netflix generated around $905 million in revenues in Q3 2012, and made a net profit of $7.7 million.

LG announced its earnings for Q3 2012, with its third quarter of “positive net income”, which it apparently considers a big enough achievement to brag about it in its press release.
