Its not working :(
My IE8 is killiing me.
No imports from browsers or files.
I’m having the same problem, it will NOT import any bookmarks from Firefox. Tried all the suggestions I could find on the web and nothing fixes it. IE broke, imagine that.
Mine imported all the bookmarks from Firefox but not one single feed.
If you’re importing into IE8 from an earlier IE, MS’s own instructions don’t work. Duhhhh. Do the following:
File
Import & Export
Import from a File
Next
Choose Favorites or Feeds
Next
It should now pick up the file automatically in My Documents. If not, browse to find it.
Next
Will take a few seconds — when box disappears, you’re done
Nope, doesn’t work. The option to import from other browsers is greyed out – and I have Firefox installed in the default directory.
I’m finding Firefox is running very slowly since the latest release, so I’d like to go back to IE, but if I can’t import my bookmarks, it’s a bit pointless.
Worked perfectly for me, not sure why everyone else seems to be having such problems.
