Goo.gl Lite: A Firefox Add-on to Create Short URL’s with Goo.gl

The Google short URL’s are out and we have been covering some of the news about them recently. Goo.gl is a URL shortener from Google that lets you create short URL’s from the Google Toolbar and also lets you update your Twitter stream from Feedburner.

Now if you do not like using the Google Toolbar, here is a nifty little Firefox add-on for shortening URL’s with Goo.gl.

Install the add-on and restart Firefox. Go to Toolbars and select “Customize”. After that, drag and drop the URL shortener button in your bookmarks Toolbar.

If you want to use Google URL shortener in other browsers like Safari, Google Chrome or Opera go for this bookmarklet.
