Resco Released its First Gadget for Windows 7

Resco, released Resco Send SMS gadget’, a desktop extension of Resco Contact Manager 2nd Edition supported by Windows 7 and Windows Vista. This application allows you to send SMS via desktop computer while having your mobile device connected to the PC.

Microsoft is pleased with the seamless integration of Resco Send SMS gadget with the Microsoft Windows 7 interface,said Peter Jirsák, Windows Client business group lead. One of the most used function of Windows phone — text messaging — is now easily accessible directly from the Windows 7 powered PC.

When installing Resco Contact Manager, select the Resco Send SMS gadget installation. After the gadget installation, it is available in the desktop’s gadget bar. All you need to do is, connect a mobile device and all the contacts will be loaded via refreshbutton. Simply click on the desired contact and start sending SMS.

Twikini 2 Released

One of the best twitter app for the Windows Mobile phone just got an update. Twikini 2.0, a complete twitter app, with introduction of twitter’s new Retweet and geotagging feature is now available for download.

Fring v1.1.0.4 for Android Released – fixes bugs

It’s not even a week that Fring released its version of app for the Android phones, Fring Team has rolled out a new version v1.1.0.4 for Android. Though there has been no major changes or introduction of any new feature in the app, the change log mainly consist of fixing bugs.

Nokia X6 To Be Available This Week

 

Nokia X6 is about to hit the shelves in Finland and the UK this week. Nokia X6 was announced way back at the Nokia World in September. Nokia X6 can quite possibly become the Nokia’s best ever music phone with 35 hours of music playback and 32GB of onboard memory.

Other features include a five megapixel camera and Carl Zeiss optics for your photographic skills, 3.2-inch widescreen display with capacative touchscreen and free unlimited access to over 6 million tracks from the Nokia Music Store. X6 runs on Symbian OS v9.4, Series 60 rel. 5 and comes in two colors: Blue on White, Red on Black.

The Nokia X6 will be available in the UK from this Friday and you can pick it up free from £35 per month or £25 per month if you trade in an N-Series handset. It’s available exclusively on the Orange network at Phones 4u. You can also pre-order it from the Nokia Store for £449 SIM-free.

Android/iPhone Gets New Gmail and Google Mobile Web Apps

Google has come up with a new design for Gmail, Google Latitude, Google Calendar, or Gmail Tasks for Android and iPhone users. The new look consists of darker header and buttons to distinguish themselves from the other elements. Also all the buttons are now bit larger, to make button tapping easier for the users.

The new design does not bring any exceptional changes but the darker menu bar on the top with spacious buttons is a welcome change for users with fat fingers. Do let us know what you think of the new UI.

Nokia Image Exchange for S60 Updated

Nokia has updated its Nokia Image Exchange for S60 phones and is now available for download. Nokia Image Exchange is an experimental imaging service for Nokia S60 Mobile Phones through which you can share all your images with your friends in a very convenient and effortless manner. Nokia Image Exchange also makes your images easily available in its web interface which can then be viewed/downloaded onto a PC.

Apart from the regular bug fixes, the new version of Nokia Image exchange includes the addition of Notifications. Notifications alerts you about the new images from your friends present in the People menu, comments to your images and images that you have commented. Also a few new settings has been added to gain more control on the notifications.

However, it must be noted that the new version is still not supported by touch devices, which is feel is an epic blunder. Touch screen devices is considered as the Hot cake’ in the market and keeping them away from the release is huge mistake. 

Amazon Extends Battery Life of Newest Kindle by 85 Percent

Today, Amazon announced that the latest generation Kindle will receive 85 percent more battery life and a native PDF reader.

Kindle now promises battery life of up to seven days even with WiFi turned on, a significant improvement from the previous battery life of four days. With wireless turned off, it lasts for about two weeks, which is same as previous version.

The 6-inch Kindle now has a built-in native PDF reader that enables Kindle customers to read professional and personal documents in their original PDF format without conversion, something we have been waiting for since ages. The previous purchasers of the new Kindle will also receive the 85 percent battery life improvements with wireless on, and a native PDF support via a firmware update automatically delivered via Whispernet wireless. Native PDF support will also be available for some earlier versions of Kindle via an automatic Whispernet wireless firmware update.

Multitasking on the iPhone with Multifl0w

Multifl0w is a new Multitasking Interface for iPhone. Task switching on iPhone has become much easier with Multifl0w, which is one of the most desired features of the iPhone.

Google Maps Navigation Now Available For Android 1.6

Google, earlier launched Google Navigation app for Android 2.0 which disappointed users having devices running on Android 1.6 (Donut) and higher, such as the T-Mobile myTouch 3G and the G1.

While Navigation app on Android 1.6 won’t benefit from all the functionalities that are available on Google Navigation app on Android 2.0, it offers cush functions like voice-guided direction, auto-rerouting and the Layers feature, which allows users to overlay info likes transit lines and Wiki onto a map.
