Sprint announced that it will begin rolling out the much awaited Android 2.2 (FroYo) update for its entry-level smartphone, Samsung Intercept. This handset is also available on the airwaves of Virgin Mobile in the US, but the Android 2.2 update is currently available only for Sprint customers.
