Samsung Announces Wi-Fi Only Galaxy Tab

And now, the company announced a Wi-Fi only version of their popular tablet at the CES 2010 in Las Vegas. There are no changes in the device, expect the fact that, the lastest variant does not come with a 3G connectivity option. The Wi-Fi only version of Galaxy Tab is powered by the same old Android 2.2 (FroYo) operating system.

Samsung Galaxy Tab features a 7 inch TFT-LCD touchscreen display, Android 2.2 (FroYo) OS, TouchWIZ 3.0 UI, 1GHz processor, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, A-GPS, 3.2 megapixel camera, HD (720p) video recording and playback, 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, 512MB RAM, 16GB of internal memory, 32GB expandable memory and 4000mAH battery.

The AllShare DLNA Technology in the Galaxy Tab allows you to take video or pictures with the device and send the original content wirelessly to other DLNA-enabled devices such as HDTVs, laptops, PC monitors, etc. The price of this device is not announced yet. The Wi-Fi only Galaxy Tab will be available for purchase in the US from the first quarter of 2011.

Lenovo Unveils Ultraportable ThinkPad X120e Laptop

Lenovo recently launched the ultraportable and ultra-affordable laptop, the Lenovo ThinkPad X120e, at the CES 2010 in Las Vegas. It is the first commercial laptop to feature an AMD Fusion E-Series Accelerated Processing Unit (APU), which speed up web searches, page loads and business applications. The Lenovo ThinkPad X120e comes with a longer battery life, which allows you to use the device for more than six hours. It also comes with an HDMI port for projecting content on another monitor or a TV screen.

Lenovo recently launched the IdeaPad Y470, Y570 And Y560d notebooks at the CES 2011 in Las Vegas. These devices are powered by the Windows 7 operating system and high-performance processors, packed with innovative tools and features. Lenovo claims that, the latest IdeaPad notebooks are more responsive as compared to the Apple’s MacBook Air.

Lenovo’s RapidBoot technology allows you to start your PC, 20 seconds faster than a typical Windows 7 computer. The Vizio smartphone features a 4 inch capacitive touch screen display with 5 megapixel camera, HD (720p) video recording and more. The Vizio tablet comes with an 8 inch capacitive touchscreen with 3 speakers for stereo audio in portrait or landscape mode and a front-facing camera for video chat. Both devices has a built-in IR blaster with universal remote control app for quick access to the entire home theater or nearly any other CE device in the home.

Olive To Launch Cheap Android Phones In March

Recently, we posted that, Intex is planning to launch the cheapest Android phone after the popular Micromax Andro. And now, Olive joined the bandwagon of companies manufacturing cheap Android phones in India. According to the folks at Telecom Yatra, Olive is set to launch the Android 2.2 (FroYo) powered phones in India during Q1 of 2011.

Olive Telecommunications was the first company to launch a 3G Android tablet in India, the Olive Pad. The chairman of Olive Telecom, Arun Khanna, recently said that, Olive will launch Android powered phones in the first week of March. He also said that the company will not launch a single Android phone, but a complete range of Android phones.

Micromax is the first Indian company to launch an Android phone in India, the Micromax Andro. It is also the cheapest Android phone currently available in India. Not only Olive, but other Indian manufacturers like Intex and Wynncom also promised to launch Android powered phones in Q1 2011. According to the rumors, Olive will also launch smartphones with big touchscreen displays, which will compete with Samsung Galaxy S and Apple iPad in the Indian market.
