US Cellular recently launched the Android powered HTC Merge smartphone. The HTC Merge is U.S. Cellular’s first Android-powered Global Ready smartphone. This handset is powered by the old Android 2.2 (Froyo) Operating System and it comes with a 3.8 inch touchscreen display, 800 MHz processor, 5 megapixel camera with HD (720p) video recording, 2 GB internal memory and so on. This handset is available from both US Cellular and Verizon Wireless in the US.

HTC Merge features a 3.8 inch touchscreen display with 480 x 800 pixels resolution, 800 MHz processor, Android 2.2 (Froyo) OS, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, HTC Sense UI, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3G Connectivity, 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash, HD (720p) video recording and more.
Other features include a 3.5 mm audio jack, 512 MB RAM, 2 GB internal memory, MicroSD card slot, 32 GB expandable memory, A-GPS, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, Android Market, up to 330 hours stand-by time, up to 6 hours 30 mins talk-time and a 1400 mAh Li-Ion battery.
HTC Merge allows you to access more than 200,000 apps from the Android Market. This handset is Wi-Fi hotspot capable and it comes pre-loaded with an 8 GB memory card.
