LG G2 Announced; Comes With 5.2 Inch Full HD Display, Snapdragon 800 CPU

LG finally announced its newest flagship smartphone, the LG G2 at an event in New York. It is the company’s first smartphone introduced under the new “G” Series for premium devices. LG has also removed the side buttons and placed them on the rear of the device. Long-pressing on the rear-mounted volume keys allows us to launch QuickMemo and the camera. It also comes with a number of user experience (UX) features including Answer Me, Plug & Pop, Quick Remote, Slide Aside, Guest Mode and so on.

LG G2 features a 5.2 inch Full HD IPS display, sporting a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) Operating System, 2.26 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, 13 megapixel rear-facing camera with auto-focus and LED flash, full HD (1080p) video recording and playback, 2.1 megapixel front-facing camera for video calls, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP and more.

Other features include a 3.5 mm headset jack, Stereo FM Radio with RDS, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, 4G LTE Connectivity, DLNA, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot, microUSB 2.0, MHL, GPS with A-GPS, 2 GB RAM, 16/32 GB internal memory, NFC (Near Field Communication) and a 3000 mAh battery. This handset measures 138.5 x 70.9 x 8.9 mm.

LG G2 will be rolled out in the next eight weeks starting in South Korea followed by North America, Europe and other key markets. This handset will be initially available in black and white colors.

LG G2 And Blue HTC One Press Shots Leaked

Later today, LG will unveil the much awaited G2 smartphone. However, @evleaks has already shared the leaked press shot of this powerful device. The leaked pic reveals the front and back side of LG’s flagship smartphone. LG have also placed the volume rocker on the back of this device, right below the 13 megapixel camera.

LG G2 is expected to come with a 5.2 inch full HD display, 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) Operating System, 2 GB RAM, 4G LTE, NFC (Near Field Communication) and so on. The South Korean mobile phone manufacture is expected to sell more than 10 million units of this device globally. The complete specs of this device will be revealed after today’s announcement.

Apart from the LG G2, @evleaks has also shared the leaked press shot of HTC One with a fresh coat of paint. HTC One was originally launched in Black and White colors. After few months, HTC released the red colored HTC One. Now, it seems that the Taiwanese tech giant will soon launch its popular HTC One smartphone in Blue color.

This handset is expected to ship with the Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) Operating System out of the box. Apart from that, there won’t be any major changes in this device. The Blue HTC One looks quite stylish in my opinion. HTC will announce this device in the coming days. Stay tuned!

Verizon Motorola Xoom LTE Finally Gets The Android 4.1.2 Update

Back in 2011, Verizon launched the Motorola Xoom 4G LTE tablet. This device was shipped with the Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) Operating System. Later, it was updated to Android 3.2 OS. Last year, the unlocked Motorola Xoom 4G owners received the much awaited Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Nearly 10 months after the roll out of original update, Verizon went ahead and started pushing out the Android 4.1.2 update for Verizon subscribers who are still using the Motorola Xoom 4G tablet.

The latest update is numbered JZO54M and it brings all the Jelly Bean goodies such as Google Now, Project Butter, smart keyboard, improved voice search, enhanced notifications, offline text-to-speech, improved power management, advanced expandable notifications, improved Face Unlock and much more. Sony Xperia Z Ultra Launched In India For Rs.46,990

Sony finally launched the Xperia Z Ultra phablet in India. This devices was announced and showcased last month at the Mobile Asia Expo 2013 in Shanghai. It comes with a large 6.4 inch Full HD display along with a 2.2 GHz quad-core processor. Similar to the other Xperia smartphones, the Xperia Z Ultra is also a water and dust resistant smartphone. It is the world’s slimmest Full HD smartphone with a beautifully crafted 6.5mm body and weighing just 212 grams.

HTC Desire 600 Launched In India For Rs.26,990

Back in May, HTC announced the mid-range Desire 600 smartphone. This device packs a 4.5 inch qHD display along with a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. Today, HTC officially launched this smartphone in India. The HTC Desire 600 is being shipped with the old Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) Operating System. It is the company’s first mid-range handset to offer the latest Sense 5 UI along with HTC BlinkFeed and HTC BoomSound.

BlackBerry Q5 Launched In India For Rs.24,990

BlackBerry recently launched the mid-range BlackBerry Q5 smartphone in India. It is the company’s third device which runs on the BlackBerry 10 Operating System. Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom Announced; Packs 16 MP Camera With 10x Optical Zoom

Samsung finally announced the much-awaited Galaxy S4 Zoom. Similar to the previously launched Galaxy Camera, this device combines the features of a smartphone with an advanced 16 megapixel CMOS sensor, OIS and Xenon flash. Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom is the first smartphone to offer 10x optical zoom. This handset comes with voice calling facility and it runs on the latest Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) Operating System. The In-Call Photo Share feature on this device allows you to share pictures via MMS to the person you are talking to.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-Inch And 10.1-Inch Announced

Back in April, Samsung announced the 7 inch Galaxy Tab 3. Now, the South Korean tech giant introduced two new members in the Galaxy Tab 3 series – the 8 inch and 10.1 inch Galaxy Tab 3. These devices runs on the Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) Operating System. The 8-inch Galaxy Tab 3 is the company’s second 8 inch tablet, while the 10.1 inch Galaxy Tab 3 is the successor of the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. This device is little slimmer and lighter than its predecessor.

Verizon Galaxy S III Gets A Major Bug-Squashing Update

Verizon’s Galaxy S III was originally launched with the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) Operating System. Few months after its launch, the wireless operator rolled out a new update which brought an updated kernel and baseband that helped in improving the reception and performance of the handset. Few months later, Verizon finally released the much-awaited Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update.

Today, Verizon is rolling out a major bug-squashing update for the Samsung Galaxy S III. This update allows you to transfer content easily between devices with Samsung Smart Switch tool, access phone screen without unlocking device when connected via Bluetooth headset, easier NFC access, S Voice tweaks and much more. Samsung Unveils The Galaxy S4 Mini Smartphone

Samsung finally announced the rumored Galaxy S4 Mini smartphone. This mid-range handset is the stripped down version of the company’s flagship Galaxy S4 smartphone. The 5 inch full HD display, octa-core processor and 13 megapixel camera found in the Galaxy S4 has been replaced with a smaller 4.3 inch qHD display, less powerful dual-core processor and 8 megapixel camera. However, this handset runs on the same Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) Operating System and packs all the gimmicky features which was first seen in the original Galaxy S4.
