Google Pages Have Bandwidth Limits

While researching something I came across a error I saw for the first time while visiting a site hosted on Google Pages, turns out that Google has bandwidth limits in place and enforce them if you go above a certain limit.

On further research I came across a topic [1] on Google help which says this.

‘Exceeded bandwidth limit’ refers to how much traffic your site can get during a given time. While we do have a limit set on it, we can’t disclose the amount at this time. If you exceed the bandwidth limit on your site, please note that your site will come back as soon as your site’s traffic has fallen below our set amount.

So if you are planning to host a high traffic site on Google Pages go for a personal hosting plan instead.

Have you ever seen bandwidth limit messages for your sites hosted on Google Pages? How long does it take to get back to normal?
