Early this morning two of the most popular social networking sites & along with Live Journal became victims of a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack.

This by far crippled twitter and brought Facebook to a crawl with users of both these social networking sites facing severe difficulties while accessing them, however the attack is a serious cause of concern for both these sites and even others and needs to be investigated thoroughly.

Mashable is reporting that Google, Facebook & Twitter are working together to investigate the root cause of this attack.

Google being one of the most visited sites on the internet must have quite a bit of knowledge with dealing and thwarting such attacks, so their help would definitely help both these social networking sites to figure out the problem quickly.

Shows how even rivals can come together and fight against such atrocities being performed in such a huge way.

What is your say?
