Team Kang To Release Nightly Builds Of AOKP ROM; First Nightly For Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 7 Available
By on July 30th, 2012

Last week, the AOKP (Android Open Kang Project) team released the first preview build of their ROM based on Jelly Bean for the GSM and CDMA variant of the Galaxy Nexus. Since then, they have released quite a few more preview builds with bug-fixes and more features.

However, going forward, Team Kang has decided to release ‘nightly’ builds for devices that are present in their source. Yes, the same nightly builds that the CM team has been doing for years now. The team does state that they may not release a new build every night, though. The nightly build system will help Team Kang in getting more feedback from the community for new bugs and features, and should accelerate the development process.

As of now, the AOKP source contains support for the GSM and CDMA variant of the Galaxy Nexus and the Nexus 7, so the nightly builds will be available for these devices only. Nightly builds for other devices will be released as soon as they are merged with the AOKP source.

The team has already released its first nightly build for the Galaxy Nexus (GSM and CDMA), and the Nexus 7.
