Ever since Sony released the beta Ice Cream Sandwich ROMs for the Xperia Arc S, Neo V and the Ray, the ROM has been ported to many other Sony devices including the Play and the Arc. However, this time XDA senior member, boykioy, has managed to port the beta Ice Cream Sandwich ROM from Sony to the Samsung/Google Nexus S.
The ROM aptly named, Nexus Xperia, will allow Nexus S owners to enjoy the Timescape and Mediascape UI goodies from Sony on their handset. Considering the Nexus S mainly has AOSP based ROMs, Sony’s UI customization will allow them to experience something new and different. Other goodies in the ROM include the new music player from Sony, the ability to change the music from lock screen, Dolby Sound booster, latest libs from Android 4.0.4 update, and several new widgets.
Interested Nexus S owners can head over to this thread over at XDA forums for the download link and installation instructions.
