The CM team has been working hard on bringing CM9 or CM10 nightlies to all the recently released Android devices. Starting from today, the CM build bot will start rolling out official CM9 nightlies for the Xperia Ion. The Ion from Sony uses the previous generation Snapdragon S3 processor, so even for a nightly build, the CM9 builds are pretty stable and mostly bug-free.
Joining the Xperia Ion are the 3G and Wi-Fi variants of the Galaxy Note 10.1. The Note 10.1 will be getting official CM10 builds from today, which is based on Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean.
Also, starting from today, the CM9/10 builds will come with a new ‘CM updater’ feature. The CM team has decided to ditch ROM Manager for updates, and instead will be using its own open-source implementation for providing ROM updates to its users. Users can select whether they want to be notified about new nightly, milestone, RC or stable builds. They can also make a backup of their existing ROM before they flash any new update, all from the CM Updater.
