MIUI ROM Ported To The HP TouchPad
By on December 14th, 2011
The HP TouchPad barely interested anyone when it was originally announced at the beginning of this year. However, later when HP decided to kill WebOS and sell their remaining stock of the TouchPad for only $99, the tablet sky-rocked to the top of the sales chart and sold out everywhere in just a matter of hours. Due its popularity, the CM team also picked up a few TouchPads and started porting CM7 on it. It was just a matter of time before the CM team released a working Alpha port of CM7 for the TouchPad.

Now, another new popular custom ROM – MIUI – is available for the HP TouchPad. Since the CM7 port for the TouchPad had more or less stuffs working, it made the work of the MIUI developers pretty easy to port their ROM to the tablet. The ROM is still in a Pre-Alpha stage, but even then all the important stuffs like Audio, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Touchscreen and Sensors etc. work flawlessly. According to the developer, only the On-Screen Menu does not work, but he is working hard on fixing it.
