While there are tons of custom ROMs for Android, MIUI is probably the most unique and polished one. Some people may find MIUI to be too iPhone like, but the custom ROM takes a refreshingly different approach towards UI unlike thousands of other custom ROMs available for Android.
Every app, menu, settings in MIUI ROM is elegant, beautiful and polished. The latest version of MIUI (v4), based on Ice Cream Sandwich, looks even more beautiful, incorporates all the handy features of Ice Cream Sandwich, and comes with some redesigned system apps including the Music Player.
An XDA member, Dax, has managed to port the latest version of MIUI Music Player for all Ice Cream Sandwich running handsets. While the MIUI Music player is no PowerAMP competitor, it does have some nifty features and a gorgeous UI to complement it. It also has all the basic features of a music player covered like a Sleep timer, an Equalizer that barely makes any difference to the sound quality, Spectogram, the ability to automatically pull the lyrics of the current playing song from the Internet, Internet radio, and much more.
The only feature the app lacks is a decent widget, and notification bar control buttons in Ice Cream Sandwich like PowerAMP. Since MIUI is still under development, there is still hope for a better music widget and notification bar music controls.
A flashable ZIP version of the MIUI Music APK file can be found over at this thread on XDA forums. Alternatively, users can simply download the APK file from here and install it manually. If the installation fails, simply push the APK file to /system/app using Root Explorer or ADB or any other similar program.
