LG Optimus One (P500) Gets Official CM7 Support; Nightlies Now Available!
By on January 13th, 2012

It was just yesterday that the CM ROM crossed the magical 1 million mark – the first ever custom ROM in the Android world to do so. Instead of celebrating this amazing news and taking a break, the CM team continued with their work proving just how dedicated they are to their work.

Thanks to all the hard work of some developers from the CM team, a popular low-end Android handset from LG, the Optimus One a.k.a the P500 has got an official CM7 ROM. The ROM is in nightly stage at the moment but is still good enough for daily use

Since the CM team now officially supports Optimus One, a new nightly build should be available for the handset nearly every night.

Interested Optimus One users can find the change-log and download link of the latest nightly here.  Alternatively, the latest nightly build can also be downloaded from ROM Manager. Make sure you have root access and are not running a .35 kernel on your phone before installing CM7 on your handset.
