Late last month, Adobe announced that it has not certified Flash for the latest version of Android, Jelly Bean, and thus it won’t allow devices running Android 4.1.1 to download Flash Player from the Play Store. The company also announced that it will unpublish Flash Player from the Play Store on August 15th.
Even though Adobe has not certified Flash Player for Jelly Bean, the plugin works without a hitch in the latest version of Android OS. While opening the Flash Player app page from any Jelly Bean device will give an incompatibility error, the plugin can be easily side-loaded on any Android device.
To install Flash Player on your Android handset running Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean, simply download and install this Flash Player APK file. Adobe keeps an archive of Flash Player plugins here, so the latest version can always be downloaded and manually installed.
