ClipSync Syncs Your Clipboards Across Android Devices and Computers
By on August 11th, 2012

Chrome to Phone for Android was one heck of a useful app for Android users. Born as a part of Google’s 75-25 work environment, the application allowed users to easily send links, phone numbers, Google Maps’s addresses and much more from their PC to their Android phone.

Sadly, with Ice Cream Sandwich and Chrome for Android, Chrome To Phone was given the boot. While Chrome for Android does allow easy syncing of open tabs across devices, it still is not a proper alternative to Chrome To Phone. Quite a few times, I have been in situations where I have something important on my PC’s clipboard that I need to copy over to my phone. I usually end up manually entering them on my phone, due to the lack of any other viable alternative.

A new application in the Play Store —ClipSync —aims to solve this issue. The app automatically syncs the contents of your clipboard across your Android devices and Computers. Users will have to install the app on their phone, along with a software on their Windows based PC (Sorry, Mac users!). The application will only sync your clipboard contents to all the devices that are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. It does not sync the clipboard contents over mobile network, which makes sense.

ClipSync can be downloaded for free from the Play Store. Don’t forget to download and install the server client on your PC.
