AMD Unveils the Athlon II X2 250 and Phenom II X2 550 Dual Core Processors
Gadgets News AMD today launched 2 new Dual Core CPU’s, the Athlon II X2 250 and the Phenom II X2 550. The former runs at 3GHz while the latter runs at 3.1GHz and features an unlocked multiplier. Both the processors are compatible with the AM2+ and AM3 sockets, but AM2+ Motherboard owners need to upgrade their BIOS before they can use these processors.
